Ayahuasca, also called natem or yahé, is a magical and healing brew prepared from the Banisteriopsis caapi vine (also called ayahuasca, which in Kichwa means "the vine of the spirits") and often other admixture plants. It is used by curanderos (traditional healers, male or female) in Ecuador, Columbia, Peru and other countries in sacred healing ceremonies.
The aim of this site is to help you to get prepared, if you decide to undergo the Ayahuasca ritual, and provide you with various options to drink Ayahuasca safely. Thus we are regularly updating this page with news about ceremonies, conferences and retreats in Ecuador.
